Burnley Borough Council

Burnley Borough Council

“Burnley needs as many employment opportunities as possible for young unemployed people.”

“I’m developing a range of work experience opportunities within Burnley Council under the banner of ‘Future Horizons’ which is a Lancashire county council initiative. The programme is for 16 to 18 year olds who are not in education, employment, volunteering or training and aims to give them the skills and work experience they need to be able to apply for an Apprenticeship or job. The council also offers Apprenticeships and work experience for school pupils.”

Ian Plested, Employment Development Co-ordinator, Burnley Borough Council
