An internship is a fixed-term period of work experience and an effective way of attracting a talented graduate into your organisation. Through providing an internship, you will offer a young person a chance to build up some valuable experience to add to that all important CV.
A young graduate with passion and enthusiasm will be keen to put everything they’ve learnt through university into practice. They are already well prepared for work, which means an intern should bring real value to your organisation and flourish.
Benefits include:
The Government is increasing opportunities for graduates who want to improve their employability. Its Graduate Talent Pool programme advises organisations on how to start offering internships.

Internships do not have to be offered exclusively to graduates. There are many enthusiastic young people in Britain who may not have chosen to take the path to university but who are bright, willing and able to come into your organisation and provide you with dedication, hard work and a flurry of fresh new ideas.
To help you tap into this group of talented individuals we have set up a specialised service, managed by Reed in Partnership.
Through this new programme you can offer 8-13 week internships or shorter work experience opportunities for two weeks. As part of this service, Reed in Partnership will publicise your placement opportunities free of charge to our pool of eligible young people. They will then collate and assess the responses and present you with a shortlist of willing young people to choose from. They will also provide you and the young person with help and support during the placement.
